::Mushroom Chicken Rice冬菇鸡饭::

23Aug09, i have tried to cook claypot chicken rice before, but i think the rice is too soggy. So, this time i try to cook the mushroom chicken rice in the rice cooker. I think the claypot chicken rice taste much better than the mushroom chicken rice, using rice cooker will not have the rice too soggy problem. I don't understand why, taking too much of this rice, i will feel thirsty. ^_^ weird....

::Stewed Pork Ribs with Potatoes & Long Beans::

28Jun09, stewed pork ribs with potatoes and long beans. The photo in the recipe book is so nice... but the one i cook look...a bit dull. Anyway, the taste is quite nice.

::Friend Carrot Cake(炒萝卜)::

03May09, i cook this claypot chicken rice some time ago, this is my 3rd attempt. Slightly better, but the rice still soggy. **mission failed**

::Fried 3 Slices Noddle(三丝炒面)::

22Mar09, I like to eat this 三丝炒面 in Esquire Kitchen, so i plan to give it a try. The 3 slices (三丝), which actually is slice carrot, bean sprout and slice mushroom. The taste is totally differnt from the one i tasted in Esquire Kitchen. :) So, it means mission is failed but the taste is of this noddle is consider ok.

::Stewed Pork Ribs::

15Mar09, stewed pork ribs and vege. What you need: 600g Pork Ribs 1 Carrot (cut to pieces) 4 Mushrooms Chopped garlic 2tbsp Oyster Sauce 600ml Water How to do: 1. Put some oil, then fry the garlic and add in the pork ribs. 2. After that, add in the carrot and mushrooms. 3. Fry all that with the Oyster Sauce and add in the water. 4. Simmer for around 30 to 40mins, served hot.

::Steam Chicken, Stewed Pork, Steam Fish & Walnut Cupcake::

23Feb09, steam chicken and fishball soup for lunch. Stewed Pork + egg, stem fish and vege for dinner. Dessert.... is walnut cupcake. I can't imagine i can cook and bake on the same day... hooray!!!

::Fried La Mien(炒拉面)::

07Mar09, if the rating is from 1 to 10, i will rate myself with 3 - still need improvement. Today, i'm so lazy to cook fancy fancy dish, so i choose to cook la mien. I didn't search from the web for any recipe and never take out all my recipe books to go through how to cook this. I just simply cook, here is my own creating of recipe: What you need: Ingredient A:- La Mien(noddle) - 1 packet come with 6(only need 4 for 2 serving) fish ball - 1 packet 200g lean pork Vegetables 2 cloves Chopped Garlic 3tblsp Chopped Small Oion Ingredient B:- 400ml Water 2tblsp Oyster Sauce 1/4tsp Salt 2tblsp Soya Sauce Pepper to taste Sesame Oil to taste How to do: 1. Boil a pot of water to cook the noddle, cook for around 8mins, take out and dry it. 2. Fried the garlic and onion until golden brown, then put in the pork and fishball. 3. Pour the ingredient B in and simmer for 8mins. 4. After that, put the noddle in and fry around 5mins then put in the vegetable to fry another 5mins. The noddle is ...

::Wantan Mee云吞面::

02Mar09,wantan mee(dumpling noddle)( 云吞面)is my favourite food. I like it because there is char siu(叉烧) and dumpling (云吞). It is really worth it with so many side dish come with this noddle. Acutally the stall which sell this noddle which i like most is in Rahang . Today, i plan to make my own wantan mee, so that i can eat alot alot. Anyhow, i don't know how to roast the sweet pork, so i just bought from the stall. The dumpling which look delicious is wrapped and cooked by me. :) Isn't it look delicious??

::Bak Kut Teh 肉骨茶::

09Feb09, whenever i go out to have bak kut teh, i will think that is it worth it? Bak kut teh which we have in those shop per person cost RM8, but not much meat, few slices of beancurd skin and etc. Anyhow, the cost for a claypot of bak kut teh that i cook is around RM20.... haha... :) is quite expensive also, anyhow i get to put more beancurd skin, mushroom, meat and etc into the soup. yum... yum....

::Crunchy CheeseCake::

08Feb09, I bake this crunchy cheesecake base on Agnes Chang, "Baking Made Easy". I think the texture of this cake that i bake is too dry, for sure there will be another attempt on this. Besides, the cake shown in the recipe book seems like so moisture and in square shape, but i bake it in round shape, does this matter? :) Find any excuse for my failure.

::Steam Chicken 玉兰鸡::

02Feb09, i suddenly fall in love with this dish, that's why i try to go through all the recipe books that i have and found this... steam chicken (玉兰鸡). Anyhow, the recipe suggested to use half of the chicken, but i just used 2 drumsticks. Besides, i have put too much vegetables to decorate the dish. The speciality of this dish is there will be ham top on the chicken... yum... yum... Besides the steam chicken, i did cook the steam fish and also ginger pork (姜葱猪肉). I'm thinking, shall i put the photo that i took for my lunch? I cooked the hakka mee in egg sauce... i named it as "滑蛋客家面". I know, my sis sure said that after looking at the photo also don't feel like eating... :) but is yummy... my hubby sure will finish the whole bowl...

::ShaoXin Chicken 绍兴酒鸡::

04Jan09, I go through my cook book today and think of cooking this dish called shaoxin chicken 绍兴酒鸡. Anyhow, i think the taste of this dish which i tried in the restaurant is totally different from the one i cook. hahaha... :) maybe i failed on the dish. Anyhow, i did give it a try... maybe i should try it again.

::Ang Ku Kuey 红龟糕::

03Jan09, actually i like to eat ang ku kuey with smash green peas but not others like shredded coconut. I like it very much and that's the reason why i join the baking class, just to learn how to make it. haha.. :) My mum laugh at me because the most i can eat is 2 to 3 pieces, why waste time to learn how to make it. My hubby doesn't really like this kind of kuey, so i bring this to my parents... hahaha.. :) my parents like ang ku kuey also, i have made 20 to 25 pieces. My dad finish half of it for me.... i know that my dad always support me, as he willing to try on anything that i bake and cook. Dad, i love you so much...

::Pan Fry Salmon & Steamed Pork Belly In Nam Yee Sauce(红烧花肉)::

02Jan09, I wanted to cook this Pan Fry Salmon for quite some time... finally here is the recipe: What you need: Ingredients Butter Garlic Salmon How to do: 1. Melt the butter with pan. 2. Fried the Salmon until golden brown and add in some garlic on it. Steamed Pork Belly In Nam Yee Sauce 红烧花肉(Hawker's Fair Simplified:Alan Kok and Bryan Ong) Anyhow, i have used the 3 layer pork meat... i think i have over steam it, so when I cut the meat and it spread. I try to serve this with plain bun, so it is still taste not too bad.

::Clay Pot Chicken Rice::

My 2nd attempt on clay pot chicken rice is consider successful as the 1st attempt is failed because the rice is too soft since i put too much water. Here is the recipe: What you need: Ingredients A 1 chicken whole leg cut into pieces some spring onions Ingredients B 1 cup of rice (estimate 200g) 400g water Marinade 5 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp dark soy sauce 1 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 3 tbsp water How to do: 1. Marinade the chicken for 20 mins. 2. Wash the rice and palce the rice and water into clay pot, cook at low heat until 70% cooked. Add in chicken and the sauce and cover with lid. 3. Simmer until the chicken is cooked. 4. Sprinkle chopped spring onion on top and mix well. Do you think it look alike the one sell from the stall?

02Aug08, this year brother birthday falls on Saturday, so mother plan to cook "mee sua" (one type of noddle) for lunch to celebrate his birthday. This "mee sua" is one of my hubby favorite food, some time i did cook for him but my version will not be as tasty as my mum version. Since is my brother birthday, so each of us will have a drumstick with the noddle, there is also fish ball, vege and etc....yummy...yummy.... Happy Birthday Koko.... may all your wishes come true in this special day.... old post.. :) but still want to take this opportunity to wish him... do you see drumstick? yummy...delicious.. baby tracy eating baby ryan crying chocolate birthday cake happy family
